Other information:
SBCO is based in Kingaroy, a rural community of the South Burnett (230km NW of Brisbane).

Established 8 February 2006, incorporated 17 May 2007, we enjoy a growing membership of 65 musicians plus 3 supporting volunteers. A third of our members are aged 10 to 18 years, with the remainder aged from 19 to 70. We average 45 musicians at rehearsals.

The orchestra conducts weekly rehearsals in Kingaroy and regular workshops. SBCO has previously held weekend music camps and workshops, employing professional tutors, to give members the opportunity to develop their playing technique and musicianship. In 2009, SBCO will perform a minimum of 3 concerts in the region. Smaller performances are conducted supporting other community events.
