Volunteers Wanted - special event

The SBCO, with special guests, will present an evening of live music and ceremony to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armistice - the end of World War One.  Held on Saturday the 10th November 2018, the night before Remembrance Day in the Kingaroy Town Hall, this will be a unique cultural response to the Centenary, including some military ceremony, memorabilia, artwork, the South Burnett Community Orchestra presenting an almost completely new musical program, a combined choir.  The String Ensemble will also perform new repertoire and a 3 course meal will be served.  We plan to raise money to donate to Legacy.

We need you!  We always welcome both adult and student musicians to become new members of the orchestra.  We will be helping to organise the joint choir of students and adults throughout the year.  We are also calling for general volunteers to help with organising the event beforehand, to help the publicity and ticket sales, to help on the night itself.  Please contact Jane Kennedy or email This email address is being protected from spambots.
