For the love of music

South Burnett Community Orchestra Association Inc (SBCO) is a dynamic organisation of enthusiastic, regional musicians. We are dedicated to developing the musical skills and talents of our members to perform all styles of orchestral music throughout the South Burnett Region for our rural community’s enjoyment.

Established in 2006 with only 14 musicians, SBCO now has around 50 regional musicians and support volunteers. The SBCO currently performs twice each year, providing the opportunity to nurture and inspire musicians of all ages, abilities, and interests.

The SBCO acknowledges the Wakka Wakka people as the traditional owners of the land on which we walk, live, rehearse, and perform. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and acknowledge the rich history and immense value of music in First Nations’ Cultures. We acknowledge and thank the Wakka Wakka people for sharing their stories and history through song and dance, as it is through these experiences we can all learn and connect with each other.
